Sage Powder Introduction
Sage Powder is derived from the sage plant of the Lamiaceae family and contains active compounds such as volatile oils, polysaccharides, alkaloids, and more. Production Method
Put the crushed and sieved sage into a Soxhlet extractor. Add petroleum ether (the ratio of solid to liquid is 1g: 10mL). Reflux in a water bath for 12h to decrease.
Filter and dry the material to a constant weight. The degreased and dried sage powder was placed in an Erlenmeyer flask. Add 50mL of 70% ethanol solution to it. Ultrasound at 40°C for 2 h. Filter and place the filtrate in a rotary evaporator. The solvent was rotovated off. Then the concentrated solution was dried in a vacuum oven until constant weight. Finally, the powder is obtained.
