PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

What is DCI D-chiro-inositol?

DCI D-Chiro-Inositol is a chiral structure of hydroxycyclohexanol, which has the functions of promoting liver lipid metabolism, insulin sensitization, hypoglycemia, and anti-oxidation. It is expected to be applied in the clinical treatment of type 2 diabetes. Studies have shown that DCI can exert an anti-diabetic effect in vivo by inhibiting hepatic glucose output (HGO).

Where can we find DCI D-chiro-inositol?

d chiro inositol dci mainly exists in nature in the form of compounds, which are widely found in buckwheat, soybean, lupin, pin, jojoba, chickpea, bitter gourd, pine nuts, grapes, and lemons. In plants, it can also be obtained by chemical synthesis.

DCI, a component of insulin mediators, has been shown to have a hypoglycemic effect. Studies have found that black seed pumpkin contains a fairly high concentration of DCI, therefore, black seed pumpkin is good food for lowering blood sugar levels in diabetic patients. It showed that the content of D-chiro-inositol increased significantly in NIDDM patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus than in normal people.

How to produce DCI D-chiro-inositol?

1. Natural extraction:

Extracted from natural buckwheat bran.

2. Chemical synthesis:

DCI was prepared using halobenzenes as starting materials.

3. Genetic modification:

The way to produce DCI from Bacillus subtilis is to convert myo-inositol into DCI through genetic modification.

4. Produced by Kasugamycin:

The fungal-derived antibiotic kasugamycin is used as the precursor of d chiro inositol dci , and high-purity kasugamycin can be used as a raw material to hydrolyze kasugamycin with trifluoroacetic acid in a strongly acidic ion exchange resin to obtain DCI. Or kasugamycin reacts with an acetylating agent to purify the hexaacetic acid intermediate and deacetylate to obtain DCI.

Applications of DCI D-chiro-inositol:

Food industry:

It was found that body cells can recognize DCI very well, and there is no rejection reaction to it, so it has good efficacy and no toxic side effects. In 1994, the U.S. Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) certified DCI as a dietary supplement because it is a natural human metabolite and can be administered orally. Japan's Tsukino Company has developed a health care product with an anti-cancer effect using IP6 (phytate) contained in rice bran. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed its efficacy and has formed an IP6 market size in the United States...

Pharmaceutical industry:

DCI contains the active ingredient of drug synthesis, which has great benefits to the body tissue. Derivatives of DCI are converted into DCI monomers (pre-drugs) under the action of enzymes or chemical processes in vivo, enhancing production properties and therapeutic value. DCI has broad application prospects, we should further develop and utilize DCI.
