what is Soap Bark Extract?
This Soap Bark Extract has traditionally been utilized as a food additive, medicine, and soap. When shaken with water, its saponins produce a soap-like foam.
For a long time, soap bark extract has been used as a foaming agent in cocktails. It is mentioned in 1906's "The Standard Manual of Soda and Other Beverages." As an alternative to egg whites, some modern cocktail foaming agents most likely contain a solution of soap bark powder.

Soap Bark Extract Function
The Andean people used soap bark extract tree as a treatment for a variety of chest problems for a long time. It is the source of quillaia, whose soap bark extract is used in food additives, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, and firefighting foam. Both beverages and photographic films incorporate soap bark powder as an additive.
The saponins in quillaja saponaria soap bark extract are also thought to have adjuvant properties for vaccine solutions.[2] The saponins in the bark help to stimulate the production of more watery mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough up phlegm. A saponin called QS21 adjuvant can be obtained from the extract of Quillaja saponaria. This adjuvant is used in the COVID-19 experimental vaccine Novavax[7], and the zoster vaccine Shingrix also contains QS21.
