Thyme Powder Benefits
1. Anxiety
Practitioners of aromatherapy believe that Thyme Powder has anxiolytic (anxiety-reducing) effects, supported by a 2014 study in the Journal of Acute Disease. 4. Intestinal Infections
Thymol has demonstrated the ability to neutralize certain enteric bacteria associated with intestinal disease in test tube studies. A 2017 study in Scientific Reports found that chickens inoculated with Clostridium perfringens and fed a blend of essential oils containing 25% thymol and 25% carvacrol had significantly fewer bacteria in their intestines, fewer lesions, and lower mortality rates compared to untreated birds.
5. Menstrual Cramps
Thyme powder is known for its analgesic (pain-relieving) and antispasmodic (spasm-relieving) properties. While the evidence is mixed, some promising findings support these traditional claims.
